Checklist — Stay in Good Standing

Be a Current USA Lacrosse Member

Renew your membership annually at usalacrosse.com/membership. Register as an official under the Southeast Florida Board.

Attend SFWLO Rules Interpretation Meeting

Required every year. The Rules Interpretation meeting is held each January via Zoom. See the Training page for dates and registration links.

Join SFWLO & Pay Dues

Pay annual SFWLO dues via Zelle to sflaxrefs@gmail.com. For full instructions, see the dues payment guide.

Maintain Your Rating

To keep your certification active, you must complete one of the following each year:
- Attend the Renewal Clinic (via Zoom)
- Re-rate on the field with a certified trainer
- Complete a USA Lacrosse Professional Development Course

Pass the USA Lacrosse Rules Test

Pass the annual USA Lacrosse rules exam. Study materials are available on the Resources page.

FHSAA Registration (if applicable)

If you plan to referee FHSAA contests, you must:
- Register with FHSAA on ArbiterSports
- Pass the FHSAA test
- Complete the required background check
